HCMM TExas Two Step Show Results

        The Hill Country Mini Milkers hosted the Texas Two Step MDGA Sanctioned 2-Ring Show at the Kendall County Fairgrounds Livestock Barn in Boerne, Texas on June 2, 2019. Events started on Saturday with move-in, a potluck club dinner, and a Hands-On Conformation Clinic led by Kellie Parker, Margo Begy, Cassandra Baldovinos, and Karen Orth. It was so great to have this time to relax and enjoy our goat friends. One of our club’s missions is to encourage closer fellowship among the members, and Saturday night did just that – plus a few new members who joined over the weekend!

        Sunday was show day! Ring 1 started at 10:00am and was judged by ADGA Judge Justin Bassett. The Nigerian Show was first, followed by the Mini Nubians. There were many spectators that came out to learn more about Miniature Dairy Goats. We had an information table set up with pamphlets “What is a Miniature Dairy Goat?”. Here are the Ring 1 winners:

        We took a break for lunch and had our Showmanship Lunch and Learn with Justin Bassett. He spoke from the ADGA Showmanship Score Card and we learned lots of great tips and tricks! 

        Ring 2 was judged by retired ADGA Judge Gary Whitehead. The heat was getting to us all, but everyone still had a smile on their face! Here are the Ring 2 winners:
